The Magnum MS2012 2000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter With Charger is a great alternative to the Xantrex, but will require the Magnum remote control if your using one with the Xantrex. It does use the same phone cable type wiring as the xantrex. The Magnum unit is also a smart charger unlike the xm1800. The Magnum does not have a power outlet on the unit itself, it utilizes your RV's electrical system.
