why is my alsentis hss keyless entry not locking or unlocking when code is entered- new batteries

This keyless lock came with the tv I bought and had some corrosion in the box. I cleaned it up but corrosion came back this year. Cleaned it up but might still have done corrosion - could that be the cause? I'm getting blue lights when putting code in, but red when hitting unlock button or both lock buttons

Yes, corrosion could definitely be the cause. The keypad may still light up, but if there is corrosion on the battery contacts or internal wiring, it can keep the lock motor from getting enough power. We recommend testing the lock with the door open to make sure the deadbolt is not binding, then reinstalling fresh batteries and resetting/re-programming the code if needed. If the corrosion came back or is still present after cleaning, the lock may have internal damage and would need to be replaced.
