There isn't always a label showing the brand, but you can usually identify the base plate by its design. Blue Ox models typically use round receiver-style attachment points with removable tabs. Other brands like Roadmaster use flat brackets with horizontal pins, and often a crossbar. In some cases, a model number might also be stamped on the main tube of the baseplate.
