In a typical towed setup, each bulb filament you’re tying into can be powered by two different sources:
-
The car’s own system (when you drive it normally)
-
The motorhome / tow harness (when it’s being towed)
So Roadmaster gives you:
-
IN #1: car’s factory wire for that function (tail or left turn/stop or right turn/stop)
-
IN #2: motorhome/tow harness wire for that same function
-
OUT: goes to the vehicle’s bulb/lighting circuit for that function
The diode lets either input power the output, but blocks power from going “backwards” into the other input.
