Air bags: Not required. The SuperSteer SS260 front coils are higher-rate replacement springs for the Chevy/Workhorse P-chassis (P30/P32) Class A. They’re designed to eliminate the need for the failure-prone in-spring air bags. Most installs remove the old bags and don’t put any back in.

Shocks that pair well:
Recommended practice:
-
Install SS260 coils matched to your actual front axle weight (corner-weigh if possible).
-
Run Bilstein B6 HD or KONI (Active/FSD) at all four corners (match front/rear to your P-chassis year).
-
Get a post-install alignment to P-chassis RV specs (aim for as much positive caster as the eccentrics allow while keeping camber/toe in spec). This is where the on-center feel comes from.
-
Consider poly sway-bar bushings and a steering stabilizer if the steering box is a bit loose; skip air bags unless you have a specific ride-height or trim need they uniquely solve.
