28100 = Clear ProFlex RV Flexible Sealant (non-sag).
-
28928 = Crystal Clear (water/transparent) ProFlex RV Flexible Sealant, same non-sag performance but a noticeably clearer look when cured.
-
29100V = the VOC-compliant “Clear” variant sold into stricter-reg states; performance/use is the same as 28100, just a regulatory packaging/SKU difference. (Think “Clear formula that meets VOC rules.”)
Details:
-
All three are the same ProFlex RV family: paintable, UV-resistant, high-adhesion tri-polymer that bonds even to damp/slightly oily/frozen surfaces and can be exposed to weather right after application. Use on aluminum, fiberglass/filon, glass, coated steel, wood, vinyl, etc. Not for EPDM/TPO roofs or acrylic skylight glazing.
-
Appearance: “Clear” (28100 / 29100V) cures clear but with a faint amber/neutral cast; Crystal Clear (28928) cures more water/transparent—handy where you’ll see the bead (trim, windows).
-
Chemistry/performance: Same non-sag bead, flexibility, crack resistance, and recoatability across SKUs; the difference isn’t strength or durability—just clarity and (for 29100V) VOC labeling.
