I want to know the proper way to store this system for the winter?

Unscrew each canister and remove any water. Allow the resin containers to drip dry, I found turning them upside down at an agle allows the water to drip out. It will take a day or so for all of the water to purge out. Then place the resin cartridges in a cool dry place.
