RV Furnaces Heaters
I replaced the original control module on a Suburban NT12SE propane RV heater with the 520820 control module. I did not replace the ignition electrode/ flame sensor. I used the flame sensor as the ignition electrode
The furnace lights but the flame goes out in about 7 seconds. Does that original ignition electrode need to be replaced with the 525033 igniter and does that igniter act also as a flame sensor.

Yes, you must install the correct Suburban 525033 Igniter Electrode for NT Series furnaces to ensure your NT12SE operates safely and properly. The 525033 serves as both igniter and flame sensor, and using an incorrect or worn electrode often causes immediate shutdown of the new control module’s flame.
