Subtract the receiver height from the coupler height:
If the coupler is higher, you need a rise.
If the coupler is lower, you need a drop.
Example:
Coupler height: 24"
Receiver height: 21"
Difference: +3"
➜ You need a 3" rise.
Don't ignore the loaded height: check with your trailer loaded.
Uneven surface: Measure on level ground or your numbers will be inaccurate.
