Your RV air conditioner works kind of like a refrigerator, but in reverse; it pulls the heat out of the air inside your RV and dumps it outside. It runs on 120V AC power, so you need to be plugged into shore power or have a strong enough generator or inverter to run it. Inside the unit is a compressor, evaporator coil, and condenser coil. The compressor pumps refrigerant through the coils; one coil gets cold (to absorb heat from inside), and the other gets hot (to release that heat outside). A fan inside blows air over the cold coil and into your RV, cooling it down.
