Release the arm travel locks:

Depending on model, lift a tab or unwrap a Velcro strap.

Unlock the roll bar or brake:

Use the pull strap or brake lever on the right end.

Loosen the arm brace knobs, if present.

Insert crank tool into the gear loop on the left side.
-
Turn counter-clockwise to unwind the awning until fully extended.

Tighten arm braces securely under tension.

Attach vertical support legs, staking them securely.
⚡ Motorized Awnings

Press and hold the OUT/EXTEND switch until awning reaches desired extension.

“Jog” the switch to RETRACT briefly to tension the canopy (fabric may be slack when fully extended.

Install support legs once outer edge rises to expose them.

Always use support arms or legs—don’t rely only on the arms.

Never pull by the arms—use the strap or crank .
-
Avoid overextension—excess slack? reverse briefly to tighten .

Lower in wind or rain—awnings aren’t structural.
-
Ensure legs are staked solidly to prevent sag and fabric pooling .
