Resetting an Equalizer Systems leveling system depends on the issue and whether it's hydraulic or electric, but here’s a straight-up, universal method that covers the most common resets:
🔄 Full Reset (Basic Method – for most Equalizer Systems panels) ✅ Step-by-Step:
-
Turn power OFF at the leveling control panel.
-
Hold down the “Auto Level” button.
-
While still holding, press the “Power” button back ON.
-
Continue holding both buttons for 5–10 seconds until the lights blink or you hear a beep.
-
Release the buttons.
This forces the system to recalibrate or clear soft faults. It works on most 4-point hydraulic Equalizer Systems.
⚠️ Reset After Error Codes (e.g., "Out of Stroke", “Excess Slope”)
-
Turn power OFF, then back ON.
-
Retract All Jacks – press “Retract All” and wait until they fully retract.
-
Try Auto Level again.
-
If still throwing codes, do the reset procedure above.
🧰 Mechanical Reset / Hard Reset
If the panel is frozen or glitchy:
-
Disconnect power to the pump control board (fuse or battery).
-
Wait 2+ minutes.
-
Reconnect power – this resets the controller.
Some units also have a resettable circuit breaker on the hydraulic pump or fuse block. Press that in if it's tripped.
🔧 After Reset – Recalibration (if needed)
Some systems allow recalibration of “level”:
-
Park RV on a truly level surface.
-
Manually level the RV using the buttons.
-
Press and hold “Auto Level” + “Retract All” together for 5–10 seconds.
-
The system stores that as your new “level” baseline.
