Call your vehicle dealer's parts department with your phone number or VIN. They will look up your exact vehicle build and tell you the “rated amps.” Divide that number by half, then multiply by 12 volts to estimate the watts. This will help you understand the output power you can get from your vehicle when using the CarGenerator All-Weather Portable Car Generator for RVs, 1000 Watts. Many diesel vehicles can “high idle,” providing even more output power.
