If you want to mount your Gen 3 Starlink Dish on your RV using the Flagpole Buddy ladder mount, you will need the FlagPole Buddy GEN 3 Starlink RV Ladder Mounting Kit. The kit includes the Starlink Buddy Adapter, designed exclusively for the Gen 3 Dish. It ensures a stable and secure connection by mounting the Gen 3 dish onto FlagPole Buddy’s patented mounting system. The kit also contains 4ft Aluminum Pole Sections, allowing for height adjustments.
Cable Clamps for securing the cables, a Large Pole Bag for storing and transporting the pole sections, and a Pole Strap for extra support in high winds and reducing vibration/noise, are also part of the kit. The kit also includes a 2.0 Dia. Upper Pole Holder (Twist) and a 2.0 Dia. Lower Pole Holder (Cup) for holding the pole's ends. The lower holder comes with a thumb screw to lock rotation. Additionally, the kit provides mounts for 1.00" dia. RV Ladder or Flat Surface for secure attachment, Mount Caps for larger diameter ladders, Nuts (Nylock) and Bolts (Stainless steel, allen screws) for assembly, a Plastic Thumb Screw for directional pole control, and a Nut Driver and Allen Wrench, eliminating the need for additional assembly tools.
Please note, it is not advisable to pull the cable tight or to fly a flag with the Starlink dish. Avoid driving with the Starlink installed, and limit pole extensions to four. Always exercise caution around power lines and dismantle the setup in high winds. The Gen 3 Starlink setup involves manual rotation, an app for optimal satellite signal, and additional components and cables as compared to the Gen 2. If you are considering purchasing a Starlink, the Gen 2 with its automatic setup ease and lifetime warranty on the mounts might be a better option.
