The Dometic Sail Switch is specifically engineered for Atwood HydroFlame AF/Dometic DF Furnaces. In the Atwood 8500 series, it is usually fixed to the blower fan housing, and to access it, several components such as the fan shroud face, blade assemblies, motor, and the bigger blower assembly need to be removed. For the Atwood 8531 model, the sail switch is located between the valve and ignition control, above the limit switch, and is linked to the limit switch, thermostat, and ignition control. If your RV's furnace features an outdoor access panel, the Dometic Sail Switch can be effortlessly accessed for cleaning or replacement as required.
