The heat strip would be the back up heat. Keep in mind the heat strip is low wattage so it doesn’t put a lot of heat off. If it is below 45 you wont have much in heat transfer. ( Per Coleman)

looking at purchasing a MACH15 w/HP2 (48004-066) and a Blue tooth Ceiling Assembly (9630-725), If I install a Heat strip (9233A4551) will it be used when Heat pump is below operating temperature?
