What’s is the difference from in board and outboard (Lippert 163778 Inner Slide Out Arm Inboard 2'' x 2'' Tubing)

Outboard the gear pack assembly will be on the outside and visible. Inboard the gear pack assembly would be hidden by the underbelly or they would have to remove something to get to it. The frame # of the RV tells us whether it has an inboard or outboard system.
