Yes this will work on a fiberglass tank as long as the tank is no thicker than 3/8".

We are considering using this for monitoring tanks on a vintage trailer we are restoring. We wanted to know if the sensor would work on a fiberglass black tank. We are using the original black tank but adding a new grey tank and a new fresh water tank. The camper is completely empty and we thought it would be possible to add this system while we are re assembling the trailer.
