It should work in either spot as long as you don’t go around any of the corners. You can clean the tanks with alcohol or acetone and then stick the sensor on.

The Garnet SeeLevel II Sensor Board is a flexible self adhesive printed circuit board which is mounted to the outside of your holding tanks. The sender can be cut to length to match the height of your tanks, or tanks over 12 inches may be double stacked.
