Garnet sensors can read through a thickness of as much as 3/8”. Any thicker than that and it won’t be able to penetrate the tank and see the level.
I want to use Bluetooth monitor to monitor water level on a plastic tote reservoir for gardening. Garnet 709-BTP7 SeeLevel II Tank Monitor with Bluetooth - Monitor Only RV Tank Monitor System
Using black heavy duty plastic storage container as a a resevoir for aeroponics grow system. Is there a thickness that 16" long strip can't read/monitor?

Answer: The Bluetooth system will use the existing sensors but a new pigtail harness will have to be wired in for the Bluetooth display.

Answer: Yes, the 709-BTP7 can replace your existing 709-P3W monitor. It is compatible with that system, but the installation requires removing the pigtail and hardwiring the new Bluetooth monitor to your current wiring rather than simply plugging it in.
