I’ve attached here a copy of the BCDC1225D manual for your reference, check out page 11 as this illustrates a typical wiring diagram to help better explain the installation and application process.

p/72-2890.htm
This would be the product I recommend for a single auxiliary battery system in your Entegra Class C RV with a Ford E-450 2021… Perfect!
The BCDC1225D will be the battery charging device used to charge the auxiliary battery whilst driving and/or from solar panels should they be connected, see below example…
We essentially take the power from alternator via the start battery as illustrated above… now seeing the BCDC1225D does indeed include the function of a smart battery Isolator, we have you covered there…
Protecting your start battery/s and leaving your auxiliary battery to power the essential loads like a Fridge and Lights!
To charge effectively from the vehicle start battery, the chassis, body, BCDC1225D, solar panels and auxiliary battery negatives must all share the same grounding i.e. common chassis ground as per page 11.
When it comes to solar , the BCDC1225D will take as much solar as you can throw at it… however for every 100Watts in panels will equate to approximately 6Amps worth of charging... when in full sun…
Also, the solar panels you choose must not exceed 32Volts (VOC) Voltage Open Circuit rating and this can be found on the specification label located on the rear of most panels…
When connecting multiple 12V solar panels, they must be wired in parallel so as to comply with our maximum VOC of 32Volts.
Page 9 of the attached manual references the cable sizing vs length (I’d recommend 6AWG ) whilst page 10 references the connections and fuses recommended i.e. FK40
The FK40 fuse kit comes packaged in a pair one to be placed close to the main battery whilst one also gets placed close to the auxiliary battery (we also include a couple spare fuses in with the kit!)
