The Garnet 710SS and all sensors produced by Garnet use capacitance to sense the level of the water. They detect the dieletric difference between air and water. When the signal senses water it bends back and amplifies. They read segments on the left hand side of the sensor receive that signal and give a percentage based on how many segments are receiving that signal compared to how many aren’t.
