What is the difference between weight carrying and weight distribution? I need to know the towing capacity.

Husky shanks have a maximum weight capacity of 6000 lbs., if the weight is directly on the shank. If you are using a Weight distribution hitch, the capacity is whatever the hitch is capable of handling. If you have a 12,000 lb. W/D hitch, then the shanks capacity is 12,000 lbs., as long as the bars are attached and distributing the weight. Maximum weight capacity is 14,000 lbs. with a 14,000 lb. W/D hitch
