The ZS-CB-3-PORT roof cap can only handle a total of 450Watts or 25Amps. This is no longer available and was replaced by part # KIT1015.
What is the max short circuit amperage this cap can handle. Zamp Solar ZS-CB-3-PORT 3 Port Roof Cap Solar Systems
I'd like to connect four 175Watt panels through this cap to a 100/40 controller. The panels have 23.9V open circuit and 9.5 Amps short circuit. 9.5 x 4 = 38 Amps. Below the 40 amp thermal breaker, but far more than the 12Gauge wire can handle. Would I have to rewire the cap?
