Time based controllers ramp up the power to the brakes the longer the vehicle brake pedal is held. The power ramp time is a setting on the controller that is 1 to 5 seconds. And then you have a maximum setting on the controller of 99. These means that when you press and hold the brake pedal, it will take the controller 1 to 5 seconds to reach your maximum power output to the brakes.
