You don’t have to shut down the system while replacing the hose. The regulator has a built-in back-check valve in both inlets, and therefore, shutting off flow to inlet without the hose attached.
Can we disconnect and replace hose to one tank without shutting the whole system off? Cavagna 52-A-890-0010 RV Automatic Changeover LP Regulator – 160,000 BTU/hr LP Regulators
We have old cracked hose that is leaking and needs to be replaced. Can we disconnect that hose while regulator is still drawing from full tank with good hose, or will propane continue to flow towards valve that we’ve disconnected which would obviously be hazardous. Thanks for you advice

Answer: It’s a low pressure regulator. The outlet pressure is set at 11” Water Column (WC), which is less than 1/2 PSI.
