The only portion that should be greased is the lift brackets where the spring bars rest on the side of the trailer frame.
Should the mating ( sliding surfaces) be lubed with grease Husky Towing 32218 Center Line TS Weight Distribution Hitch - 2-5/16'' Ball - 12000 Lbs Weight Distributing Hitches
