Airxcel model 48004-869 installed. How can I test the thermostat to see if it is the reason AC does not work?

The fuse is OK. Fan blows, gas furnace operates, no air conditioning. Unit is in a Jayco RV. Took cover off, everything looks ok.

Is this in the electric heat mode or in the cool mode when we are testing the compressor? In the cool mode we should have 12 volts between the b and y terminals on this thermostat.

In the cool mode. There is no voltage between the B and Y terminals in either hi cool or low cool. Does this mean I need a new thermostat? Where does the 12V come from, the thermostat itself? I reset unit per instructions about removing fuse for 5 minutes.

If you also have no voltage between blue and yellow on the thermostat , then yes it would be a bad thermostat. We do need to verifiy that as well otherwise it is either miswired or there is a break in the wire in the wall. The 12 volts to the thermostat (blue to red) is supplied by something inside the coach, normally it is pulled from the gas furnace.
