Yes you can leave the hose straight adapter connected. You don't have to take it off if you don't need to.
this connect to the sewer outlet to make it easier to reach, can I leave it connected to the outlet all the time Thetford 17907 Titan Sewer Hose Straight Adapter Sewer Hoses
i want to make it easier for me to dump my tanks. will this extend the connection, I have the titian RV hose

Part number 17907 is a 5" extension. Thetford does not have a 7" available. I do have a 7" in Camco brand, linked below.
