Does this 16-00578 plug require a neutral along with the 240v power?

The rating on this 16-00578 adapter is listed to the NEMA 140-50 code. We sell it as intended for use in replacing an RV 4 wire 50 Amp power/extension cord. Outside of that use, you would need to review the NEMA 14-50 code and make an assessment on that. While it is my understanding the 240V would wire the same as the 120V… I am not aware of the application for the device. Depending on the use outside of RV, you may want to consult with a local electrician to understand any local code restrictions.
