The Safe-T-Alert 30-442-P-BR Gas Detector, is a direct replacement propane alarm for the CCI Controls model 7773.081. A few of the CCI units installed in Fleetwood and Winnebago RV’s have two power leads. Safe-T-Alert units only have one power lead. You must connect the 'house" power to the Safe-T-Alert red wire and cut and cap the “Chassis” power wire.

The 3 wire systems have a gas cut off solenoid, if I’m not mistaken, that energizes the solenoid when gas is detected. If you cut and cap the third wire then wouldn’t you lose this important safety feature??
