I spoke with my rep at Curt and unfortunately, the 51701 BetterWeigh requires the ODB-II port, it cannot be adapted for use in any type of vehicle that does not have the diagnostic outlet.
Can this be used on a Freightliner or Spartan chassis motorhome? Curt 51701 BetterWeigh Mobile Bluetooth Towing Scale Dinghy Towing Accessories
Diesel platform motorhomes don’t use the OBDII engine diagnostic outlet but if this device can be adapted, it’ll sell like crazy.
