Can I replace receptacle and plug on the 50A with a 30 amp plug and receptacle?
I have a 30A rv and this 50A protector was given to me. I would like to replace plug and receptacle and not fuss with an adapter

No you cannot. The 50 amp surge protector unit has 2 hots wires, a neutral wire and a ground wire. The 30 Amp has one hot wire ,a neutral wire and a ground wire. the 50 amp unit has to see power on both hots otherwise it will not allow power through.
