The SSP-30XL is an entry level surge protector. This is a unit that really is meant for a Pop-Up trailer or small trailer that doesn't have a whole lot of electronics in it. This unit only protects from a Voltage surge above 300 volts. This unit has no low/hi voltage protection this unit also does not shut power off when it detects a pedestal wiring issue such as reverse polarity or open ground or neutral. So therefore if you have an RV or Trailer that has a fare amount of electronics in it you should really look into purchasing one of the EMS units. The EMS units have a contactor in them that will either remain open ( when first plugged in) or open when it detects low/hi voltage 104v/132v to 300v, low/hi frequency 59/69 HZ, reverse polarity, open ground/open neutral and surge. So I would suggest a EMS-PT30X portable unit.
