The JR Products GSNI gas springs do not have a lockable feature. Hearing this would lead me to think the door does not require 2 gas springs on it, at least not at 30 pounds each. That is a combined total of 60 pounds going against the door. If it was a custom job (meaning gas springs were not part of it originally) then it could be the installation of it is wrong. I will put a link below to all of the gas struts/springs that we carry.
