Will the default temp be 140 degrees if I don't hook up the thermostat wires and thermostat?
Also wondering if there is GFCI protection. Every time I plug it into my outlet, it's kicks off the GFCI in the bathroom of my travel trailer.

Regarding both Hott Rod kits, when a power surge occurs or major power fluctuation the thermostat will shut off and will need to be reset with the round red reset button on the top of the thermostat. This will generally suppress any major power situation unless it is a lighting strike and we do not provide protection for this type of power influx.
