The filter is reusable. Many like to have a spare so when they take the one out to wash/clean it they can put the spare in while waiting for the other to dry, as you do not want to put the filter in wet.
Why would i need an extra filter for the AC Silencer? The filter is suppose to be lifetime. WackO Products DA100 Dometic/GE RV A/C Silencer Kit Heat Air Conditioning Vents
