The manual shows on page 18, what it means when you receive the Err code. I will paste this below along with a link to the manual.

If a sender is sending bad data, there is damaged wiring, or if there is electrical interference, the display will indicate a data error by showing “Err” on the LED display. Also, if the senders have not been programmed correctly, they can interfere with one another and result in “Err” on the LED display. Check all the senders to make sure they are programmed correctly. If they are, replace the sender that is creating the error.
