Sound like the transfer switch needs to be replaced. You are correct, something in the generator contactor is bad. Separate contacts are not available, so a total replacement is needed.
Generator at 120 vac. Green LED lit. Contactor won't pull in. Suggestions? Testing? Or total replacement? Progressive Dynamics PD52V 50 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch RV Automatic Transfer Switches
Shore power contactor working fine. Will not transfer to generator or pull in with shore power dead. Possible failed coil on generator contactor? Is there a fuse somewhere to check? 2016 Newmar Ventana LE.
