I double checked with the manufacturer, they said with potassium chloride you would need to use a bit more than table salt, but it is difficult to say how much, it would depend on the quality of your water. What I would recommend is running tests using small amounts of potassium chloride in this unit, and continue to check the test strip until proper levels are reached, adding small increments of potassium chloride at a time.
