Number 5 under Using The Mobility Carrier section of the first page of the manual, linked below, says that the once the load is secure, rotate the ramp up from the ground to a vertical (loaded) position (Fig. F), and make sure the lock pin is securely seated in the lock pin plate. It also shows a picture next to it.
