It is not recommended that the sensors for this TPMS be used on rubber valve stems, as the weight of the sensor will not be supported and can damage the rubber valve stem.
Can either the rubber or metal tire valve stem be used with the 507FT sensor? TST TST-507-FT-4 Flow Through Sensor Tire Pressure Monitoring System - Black & White - 4 Pack Doran Tire Monitor
Some sensors must be used with the metal tire valve stem and others are good with the rubber. Does it matter which tire valve stem is used with the 507FT sensor?

Answer: It should work however if the vehicle has rubber valve stems you will need the TST-507-RV-4-C the RV Cap Sensors can be used in rubber or metal valve stems. I will link this below for you.

Question: Do we have to open the tire to change the battery on the 507 tire pressure monitoring system sensor?
