Unfortunately, that is sort of a rare occurrence. There is no way to adjust the display brightness/contrast on the 9430-3382. You would need to replace the thermostat.

I just purchased a new RV with the 9430-3382 Thermostat. The back light works but I can barely read the display as it is washed out by the back light. Is there an adjustment for display brightness/contrast?
