The Aqua Pro 21847 does not have an on/off switch. It shuts off automatically when it senses a PSI. The PSI is adjustable from 45-65 PSI. A low hum noise is expected, however, if you put a rubber mat or something similar underneath it, it may help cancel some of the noise.
