Probably a dumb question, but how do you remove the old faucet? I have handles off, but stem/bonnet broke at thread (Utopia 20351W21 RV Tub and Shower Diverter Faucet, White With Smoke Knobs)

Hey Pete,
If you remove the retaining ring/nut and grab onto the spindle with a wrench, you should be able to wiggle it loose and pull it up and off. I have a parts breakdown of a faucet that may help you in figuring out how to get that off without breaking more of it.
