The 9330C755 is a control box in the ceiling that can run an ac unit and a heat strip, the furnace does not run through the control box, so as long as the thermostat itself has a gas heat setting on it, then the thermostat would run the furnace, but the control box itself is only for the upper ac unit and heat strip.
