I am not really sure what you are referring to when you mention the threading. This JR Products 9491-300-062 has a rubber bottom that, when you turn the knob, expands to keep water in the sink.
Do you have 9491-300-062-R in black with female threads on basket. Not male theeads as this one has JR Products 9491-300-062 RV Sink Strainer Basket RV Kitchen
