On this SMI 9599007, it appears you would make the adjustment by the cable shown in Fig.14.4 and 14.5 on pg24, can be adjusted, look at Fig. 14.2 on pg23. To test your installation and make sure that it is road ready, follow the steps on pg27 of the manual, which I will add a screen shot of, below for you reference.
