This GSNI-2300-120 is rated at 120lbs. It is almost near impossible to close by yourself. Are you trying to install this where it has to be closed to install? These higher weight gas springs normally have to be installed when open as they are too tough to close on your own. Also, you may need to down grade to a lesser force.
