I have a RV220-50 50 Amp , (Hughes Autoformer RV220-50 50 Amp Voltage Booster)

It seems like it may be a wiring issue. I would take it to a specialist and make sure everything is hooked up properly. The light on the autoformer will stay lit when it has a good connection with the RV.
